Senior Manager - HR

Job Description:

The Senior Manager of Human Resources will be responsible for overseeing statutory compliance, ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant employment laws and regulations. This role will focus on people management, fostering a positive work environment, and managing HR operations to support the organization’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR compliance, employee relations, talent management, and must be well-versed in employment laws of other countries, including the US and UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and interpret legislative changes affecting HR policies and practices.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements.
  • Manage audits and investigations related to employment law compliance.
  • Liaise with legal counsel on compliance-related matters.

People Management:

  • Oversee employee relations programs to ensure a harmonious workplace.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to HR staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Manage performance appraisal systems to drive high performance.
  • Address and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations.

HR Operations:

  • Oversee HR operations including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
  • Collaborate with departmental managers to assess HR needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs to all employees.
  • Prepare and manage the HR budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

Strategic HR Initiatives:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support organizational development and change management initiatives.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in HR management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing employee relations and resolving conflicts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
    Knowledge of US and UAE employment laws will be considered a plus point, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new regulations and practices.
